This is really annoying on final when there is potential to ruin the approach. However, if one does this in the CS767, you end up reactivating the deactivated modes because the key bindings are bound to the hard options. IRL when you disconnect the A/T and A/P, you use the buttons on the throttles and control wheel respectively, one click to disable the function, the second click to extinguish the warning lights and silence the aural warning. All my PMDG products and the QW787 do this well. My second complaint is the lack of 'soft' disconnect key bindings. This is a nuisance for the price of the product ( this is a motif one should recognize throughout this review ). The cockpit lighting is annoying, when you activate ANY of the panel backlighting ( I always use the panel backlighting, even during the day ), there is a noticable lag, some of the textures go black for about 2 seconds, then the textures reemerge backlit. This is not really acceptable given the amount of money one has to spend to acquire this module. They are generic, and you can tell that only one sound file is used for the press switches and one for the toggle switches. My first Con is with regards to sounds, specifically cockpit noises. And CS nailed the 400Hz electric tone that is omni-present in the real world 767. The TSS sound pack is nice, especially externally.

Also, the wing flex and physics are top notch, and in turbulence the flutter makes this aircraft seem alive. I'm not an IRL pilot or 767 pilot for that matter, but I think this is about 95%-98% it's real world counterpart. This is especially apparent on takeoff, as the aircraft rotates graceful, not immediately, but not lazily either. To handfly is a treat, you can really feel 'weight' measured in response time from your input to the visual in sim response.

I would say it's inbetween the Aerosoft A330 Pro and the PMDG 737NGXu in terms of system depth and functionality. The system depths is between fair and great, it's not PMDG or FSLabs, but it isn't Carenado or Aerosoft either. You can load fuel and payload via an options menu, obtain the TOCG, and configure PAX layout.

CS did a great job of FMS integration with regards to simulator options. Every button that has a system is clickable and functions as it should. The flightdeck is well modelled and is ironically less frame rate intensive than the CS 757 III. The ACE also gives you the option to have a simplified exterior so that those of you who have a potato can still run this module without burdening your rig. The ACE is a nice touch, making downloading liveries from both CS and 3PD painters a breeze. The external model is amazing, and with a good shader in P3D this aircraft looks great. The 3D modelling is excellent, albeit framerate intensive. I find that the pros of this aircraft are not many, but where it is good, the module is very good.

So I waited until it went 1.0 to purchase it as v.98/99 were still buggy.

That being said, when I first got back into flightsim, the CS 767 was still in Beta ( a point of contention for myself and many gamers and flightsim enthusiasts ). Which is sad, as the latter laid the ground-work for ETOPS and was the most used airframe on trans-atlantic routes during the 1990's. I feel that as a whole, the 757/67 do not receive that much attention in the flight sim community. So after returning to flight-sim earlier this year, it puzzled me to learn that Captain Sim's iteration of the 767-300ER is literally the ONLY one for Prepar3D, and is one of two for the flightsim community as a whole ( FlightFactor being the other for XP11 ). My introduction to the 763 was years ago on the LevelD767 ( such a fantastic add-on and well worth it for the study level product you got ). The latter can be problematic as I shall explain shortly. I have flown this module for approximately 80-100hrs of flight, spanning everything from short-haul domestic to long-haul domestic and international. I am writing this review for perspective buyers as I do not feel there are enough reviews of this module, especially since it went 1.0 a couple of months ago.
